Lake Shore Burial Vault Company’s precast concrete tanks and accessories are warranted against defective materials and/or workmanship for One year from the date of delivery. The warranty is only valid when installed per the manufacturer’s instructions.

Each concrete tank and accessory has a maximum depth of cover listed in this manual. Some products allow for an extra heavy cover to be used to increase this depth of cover. Lake Shore Burial Vault Company’s standard precast concrete tanks are not designed or engineered for traffic use. If you are going to place one of our products under a traffic area, please consult us for pricing.

Exceeding the specifications for depth of cover or placing the tank in an area with vehicle traffic for any of our products voids the warranty on that product and any related products installed at that specific job site.

Should a defect appear within the warranty period, the customer must present evidence satisfactory to the manufacturer that the product in question was properly installed and all plumbing codes that were in effect at the time of installation, were adhered to.

Upon agreement, we will replace the product in question. Lake Shore Burial Vault’s liability is limited to the value of the tank itself and specifically excludes the cost of installation and/or removal. Failure to follow installation procedures and general notes will void the warranty.

Lake Shore Burial Vault Company does not offer any additional warranties in excess of those warranties made by the individual third party manufacturers with respect to their products. For warranty information on these products, please contact Lake Shore Burial Vault Company.

Installation Guidelines

The excavated hole is not to be more than one foot longer and wider than the tank. There shall be minimum bedding underneath the tank of 4 inches of washed sand or stone less than 1” in size in soil terrains and 8” of bedding in rock terrain.

Backfilling around tanks with material describe above is suggested when cover depth is four feet or greater. This recommendation is mandatory for all tank capacities of 3,000 gallons or more.

Delivery will include one boom truck for the placement of the tank(s). The rear of vehicle must be within twenty-two feet from center of excavated hole. The soil conditions under the vehicle must be level and stable. If additional equipment is required, the contractor will be responsible for any additional costs.
